What's Happening at Our Church

Every Sunday

We gather for worship at 11:00 a.m. Worship begins with the ringing of our church bell.

First Sunday of each month

We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month and invite everyone to celebrate communion.

Third Sunday of each Month

The Scottsville Presbyterian women meet for Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. on the third Sunday of each month, from September through May at Baines Coffee Shop, 485 Valley Street.

Second Wednesday of each Month

The Session, the governing board of the church, meets on the evening of the second Wednesday of each month, from September through June.

Special Worship Services

The church holds several special worship services throughout the church year. They include an Ash Wednesday service to begin Lent (held jointly with Scottsville Baptist Church and Scottsville United Methodist Church), a Maundy Thursday service during Holy Week, and a Christmas Eve candlelight service.  We also worship several times a year with our sister church, Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Esmont.  This past year, we held a Gun Violence Awareness Service to remember all those who have been killed by guns in this country in the past year; we also raised awareness of this country's dangerous obsession with guns.
